Christmas Card #2

10/23/2018

I was looking at my leftover supplies and I  decided to put them to good use.
My first 2 cards I did on my Facebook Live in my Caring Crafters Group if you would like to see the tutorial click here.

Picture
I used the extra materials from those cards to make this card below.
Picture
  1. Have a heavy white card base sized A2 (4/14 x 5/12) folded and ready to go.
  2. To get the look of snow for the background use a kraft card panel cut 1/16" smaller than your base.  I used a snow die cut on the kraft panel  then adhered  the kraft panel to the white card base for the illusion of  snow.
  3. Using the leftover oval from the previous cards. I took my blending brushes and blended blue distress oxide ink for the sky and green for my ground.
  4. I stamped and die cut the tree and the deer. Adhere the tree directly to the oval with liquid glue and the deer with foam squares.
I was really happy with how I can make 2 styles of cards with the supplies I had to start with.
Thanks for joining me, and I'll see you next time.

Say What?!? It's Tag Time!

I made shaker tags live in our Caring Crafters group, using Lawn Fawn's "Say What Tags," "Say What Critters," and coordinating dies. After coloring the critters with copic markers, I added some Doodle bug products. I filled each with glitter and used a like color string. These were super enjoyable to make, and I'm sure it will a smile to someone’s face.

Hi Crafters! Here's my first holiday card of my 2018 series. I couldn't wait to try out the new Lawn Fawn textured embossing powder and Doodle Pop stickers. Why not give your cards some extra dimension with these easy add ons?!?

  3. After adhering the background pieces to the panel, pop up the grass with some foam tape and adhere the Doodle Pop House stickers.
  4. Add your embossed sentiment with foam tape, as well, and your card is finished!

Hi Crafters,
I made this card live on my Facebook page today and wanted to share it with all of you too.
This month's challenge is to use 3 fall colors and make any crafty project. Please come on over to watch the video and join in on the fun if you haven't already! I chose a shaker card, an oldy but goody interactive card that never loses it excitement from the recipient.
Picture
  1. I started with die cutting the leaf shape out of white cardstock and ink blended with brushes and Distress Oxide inks. I then attached a piece of acetate, attached foam strips and added my sequins.
  2. I added another blended piece of cardstock cut to the same size at my leaf piece and attached to the front panel with tape runner. The front panel is stamped with fall leaves using the same 3 colors.
  3. I used a word die and cut  from Neenah desert storm cardstock and glued them together to achieve a dimensional piece. I then die cut from some foil cardstock and adhered to the top.
  4. I used a card base measuring  A2 ( 4 1/4x 5 ½) neenah desert storm.
  5. I adhered my panel cut to the same dimensions with my staming on top. I then added my shaker element.
 Supplies Used:
Stampin' Up Tropical Chic stamp and die
Altenew Simply Hello word die
Distress Oxide ink  - Ripe Persimmon, Aged Mahogany, Mustard Seed
Neenah Desert Storm cardstock
Neenah Solar White cardstock
foil cardstock
makeup brushes from amazon

This card is made for the teachers at my husband's school. I wanted to let the teachers know just how important they are.

I used a Sizzix thinlit die - the chalkboard easel die. I also enclosed an apple keychain I found on Oriental Trading. I used a Sugar Pea die for the teacher diecut and a Lawn Fawn stamp set.

The teachers really enjoyed getting a little surprise to brighten their day!
